Regional Conservation Laboratory (RCL), Mysore

The Regional Conservation Laboratory (RCL), Mysore, a regional unit of NRLC, commenced its operations in 1986 in the Mysore Palace premises to cater to the conservation needs of the four southern states of the country. Since its inception, RCL has provided commendable and has addressed several complex conservation challenges referred by government and non-governmental cultural institutions across the region. The laboratory moved to its present three-storey facility in a vast campus located in Mysore in 2003, further strengthening its capacity for research, field projects, training and technical assistance.
